The rural nature of Leigh results in limited public transport serving the village.  However,
there is a daily bus service to both Reigate and Dorking, more extensive bus and rail services
can be accessed from there.

Bus services

Following a Surrey wide review, new and changed bus services take effect from 3rd September 2016. A new service is being introduced which will connect Leigh with Crawley to the East and Dorking to the West, and the 29 service is being withdrawn.

A regular bus service to Dorking and Guildford operates from Strood Green and Brockham, details of this

Rail Service

The closest station to Leigh is Betchworth which is on the Reading to Gatwick Airport line.  Services call at
Betchworth most hours to Dorking, Reigate and Redhill.

Dorking has two main stations (Dorking and Dorking Deepdene) about 200 metres apart.  Dorking Station has
regular direct services to London Victoria and London Waterloo, and also an hourly service to Horsham. 
Dorking Deepdene is on the Reading to Gatwick line, also serving Reigate and Redhill.

Redhill station has regular services to London Bridge and to Victoria which are faster than the Dorking trains
to London.  Redhill also has direct services to Dorking, Reading, Gatwick Airport, and the South Coast.

There are good services from Gatwick.  The Gatwick Express takes half an hour to reach Victoria and runs every
quarter of an hour for the day and most of the evening.  There is a half hourly train to Bedford calling at St Pancras
International for Eurostar.

Leigh Parish Council maintains a dialogue with Surrey County Council regarding the condition of the roads
in the parish.  It is recommended to report defects directly to Surrey County Council in the first instant and if there is no satisfactory resolution to refer the issue to the Parish Council.
