Platinum Jubilee Picnic on The Village Green

Bring your own picnic and drinks and please make your own seating arrangements

The Plough will be serving food and drink throughout the day

Pimms tent, cake stalls, St Joan’s ice-creams

Activities to include:

♛ CREATE A CROWN or DERBY HAT Competition

Make a crown or decorate a hat or fascinator suitable for wearing at the Derby or a garden party. Come to the Information Point at 1.45pm wearing your creation.

♛ CHILDREN’S OLD-FASHIONED SPORTS

Fun games for the kids

♛ CHILDREN’S TEA PARTY 3.30pm

Party Tea Bags to be provided courtesy of the Plough, with entertainment including a magician, balloon twisting and plate spinning

♛ Sweet cones and crafts from Leigh Lollipops

Tickets £5 in advance from Sarah at the Plough – proceeds to be donated to Leigh Lollipops

♛ CHURCH ACTIVITIES

Visit the Church for a talk on its history, bell ringing, organ music, flower arrangements, candles and kneelers

♛ All dogs on leads please         ♛ No cars on the Village Green
